An exploration of innovative urban design, featuring advanced technologies and collaborative approaches in crafting the 2024 IAAC Graduation Exhibition.
The Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC) presented the 2024 graduation exhibition titled “Shaping Future Cities.” This exhibition serves as a platform to explore and showcase innovative, critical, and technologically advanced approaches to shaping the urban environments of tomorrow. The exhibition delves into the potentials of cutting-edge fields such as Advanced and Robotic Manufacturing, Computational and Algorithmic Design, and Artificial Intelligence.
Through these lenses, it asks vital questions about how we can develop more innovative and sustainable processes, create circular and metabolic systems, and build responsive and regenerative ecosystems. Furthermore, the exhibition emphasizes the importance of collaborative, community-driven practices, extending beyond human-centered perspectives to include more-than-human and interspecies considerations in our quest to build the cities of the future.
In this visionary project, I played a central role in bringing the exhibition to life by designing the entire exhibition structure and space distribution. My responsibilities encompassed creating the overall layout and visual designs, ensuring that each piece was strategically positioned to enhance the narrative of the exhibition. I meticulously crafted the spatial arrangement to facilitate a seamless flow, allowing visitors to engage deeply with the concepts presented. Additionally, I integrated innovative design elements that reflect the exhibition's themes of advanced technology and sustainability. My work also involved close collaboration with other teams to ensure that the design not only met aesthetic goals but also adhered to the advanced and sustainable principles showcased in the exhibition.
