Branding design

The project aims to unlock the full potential of these spaces as centers for digital innovation, skill development, job creation, and global collaboration. By addressing critical challenges such as financial sustainability, supportive policies, and enhancing skills and technical capacities, mAkE aspires to transform makerspaces into vital hubs for local smart production. This transformation will foster economies of scope and contribute sustainably to the digitization of various sectors and communities across Africa and Europe.

For this project, I began by facilitating a co-design session that brought together insights and creative input from both African and European contributors to shape the visual identity. Drawing inspiration from the machinery commonly found in fabrication laboratories, I used these elements as the foundation for developing the motifs, elements, and patterns that define the design. This collaborative and contextual approach ensured that the design resonated with the diverse cultural and technical backgrounds involved in the project.
