Transforming European food systems through citizen-driven approaches.

FoodSHIFT 2030 is an ambitious initiative aimed at driving innovation within the food system, focusing on themes ten and eleven of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The project seeks to advance production technologies, enhance education, and improve communication surrounding the food system. By adapting policies related to the use, sale, and production of food, FoodSHIFT 2030 envisions a European food system that is more circular, lower in carbon emissions, and promotes plant-based diets over meat consumption.

The initiative operates through nine main accelerator labs located in frontrunner European cities, each addressing different components of the food system. These labs have the potential to establish additional enabler labs in 27 follower city-regions, supported by a network of 31 partners, including municipalities, SMEs, NGOs, and research institutes across 11 European countries.

Branding and Conference Design

My contribution to the FoodSHIFT 2030 project involved creating the graphic and illustration designs that visually represent the project's goals and activities. I also developed the spatial design for the conference, ensuring that the physical environment effectively conveyed the project's innovative spirit. Additionally, I produced a range of printed and online assets that facilitated clear and engaging communication across various platforms, supporting the project's outreach and educational efforts.

The design aimed to create a playful and cohesive visual identity that would not only attract and engage the community but also be easy to use and adapt by researchers across different countries. This approach ensured that the design was both inclusive and functional, catering to the diverse needs of the project's stakeholders.
